Cyberstar adds AMD to its kitty

Bangalore - based Cyberstar will be the new Master reseller for AMD after Mumbai based Priya and Abacus, and Neoteric.

The tie-up will give the chip manufacturer an extended arm in reaching northern and western parts of the country. To make its presence felt, the distributor will carry out a series of road shows and dealer meetings in the coming months.

Commenting on development, Haresh Bharia - National Distribution manager ? AMD, said, ?The new tie-up will give us enough strength to reach out to the regions which have not been represented well by us . More over the product mix that Cyberstar has will give a good solution to end users?.

Cyberstar which has around 700 ? 800 resellers all across the country plans to concentrate on the north and west initially and later plans to shift its focus on the other regions?.

The new tie-up will give us an additional mileage in terms of product that we offer to our partners and more over AMD being aggressive on the marketing front would help us reap benefits?, said Director-Sales and Mktg, Cyberstar.

Cyberstar plans to tap around 20 percent of AMD?s market share through the new tie-up.
