Sterlite Appoints Cyberstar As National Disty

Sterlite Optical Technologies announced that it has appointed Cyberstar Infocom as its national distributor for Sterlite SuperLAN cables.

Raj Rathi, Managing Director, Cyberstar Infocomm, said, "We are extremely pleased with this important tie-up with Sterlite. Right now we are distributing Netgear and SMC through our networking division, we are adding a whole new dimension to Cyberstar business with Sterlite. Our customers will definitely benefit because of the strong position SOTL has in cable business."

Vivek Savant, product manager for Sterlite's structured cabling solutions, said, "Cyberstar will use its established network and build new partnerships to sell Sterlite SuperLAN cables. While Sterlite Technologies benefits form Cyberstar s existing relationships, Cyberstar will benefit from Sterlite Optical Technologies long standing goodwill and experience in the telecom cables business."

Sterlite Optical Technologies is an integrated manufacturer and provider of optical fiber and telecom cables. The company had recently announced the commercial launch of LAN cables under the brand name 'SuperLAN'.

Sterlite SuperLAN cables are available in Cat 5e and Cat 6 variants. They are suitable for transmission of high-speed data, digital and analog voice and video signals on LANs. These cables support Gigabit Ethernet standards and are compatible with all common systems according to EN 50173, ISO/IEC 11801 and TIA/EIA 568-B.
